With eight libraries throughout Hutt City there’s a library close to you or you can visit us online.  A wealth of books, activities and information awaits you!

The Hutt Valley is rich in arts and culture. We’ve got plenty of museums and galleries showcasing local and international talent and preserving the noteworthy history of our area. Come and see for yourself!

Hutt City is known for its great green spaces where there’s lots of room to enjoy a day outdoors. We own more than 5300 hectares and manage around 3000 hectares of parks, reserves, bush-clad hills, beaches, walkways and tracks and playgrounds for the kids.

There’s something for you right here, all year round, whether you’re young or just young at heart. We’ve got everything from sporty and adventurous activities to relaxing and cultural excursions. Our programmes are affordable and – best of all – they’re fun!

We have a range of sports fields in Hutt City, available for use all year round by residents and visitors alike. Spring, summer, autumn or winter – and no matter what the sport or the outdoor activity – there are plenty of spaces to choose from!

With six action-packed pools and two gyms, plus a wide range of activities and classes on offer, staying fit and active is easy and fun!

We have a variety of tracks in Lower Hutt. They are a source of outdoor activity and fun for visitors and residents alike.
